AUSSIE rock legend Shannon Noll is returning to Moranbah for the 4u2 Concert and is looking forward to going “back out bush”.

He has been touring since early in the year, is recording the final tracks for his new album, still deciding on its name and by the sounds of it keeping busy.

“We did Melbourne last week and back to Melbourne this weekend for two shows and then to Sydney and then it slows down a bit and getting back to the festival,” he said.

A recent shock, when a man threw a firecracker on stage at a South West Rocks Country Club show in New South Wales, did not stop the touring.

After initially posting outraged comments on social media Noll spoke calmly about the recovery of his keyboard player, who stepped on the firecracker to put it out when it exploded, injuring his foot. He reflected on the consequences of the incident.

“My keyboard player is walking properly now, but was on crutches and had a pretty nasty wound on his foot,” Noll said.

“Lucky he had solid shoes on and lucky he didn’t throw it off the stage.

“I hope it doesn’t become a trend. “Even if he kicked it back towards the crowd. “Imagine what could have happened.”

His voice gave away that the busy life may have caught up with him.

“My young fella gave me something, I thought I dodged a bullet,” he said. “It’s a bugger I got a bit crook through the year, it is tough if something is going around.”

He promised to take it easy get back on track for the show in Moranbah.
