ANGE Postecoglou has warned his players not to go overboard with the physicality in Thursday night’s crunch World Cup qualifier with Japan.
The coach also declared on Wednesday that star midfielders Aaron Mooy and Tom Rogic can combine effectively in the one Socceroos team.
But whether he will deploy them both in a game that could seal Australia’s spot in Russia next year remains to be seen, with Postecoglou keeping his selection cards close to his chest.
Tomi Juric is nursing “a knock” from his club game from the weekend, but Postecoglou is confident the striker will be fit to play, as he is Trent Sainsbury despite the central defender not playing since injuring his groin over two months ago.

Juric did, however, miss Wednesday afternoon’s familiarisation training session at Saitama Stadium.
Neither Mooy nor Rogic played against Chile at the Confederations Cup, a 1-1 draw that was lauded for Australia’s pressing and harassment of the South American powerhouse.
