NORTHS Devils Leagues Club has a new owner almost a year after it shut its doors and told staff to go home.
The leagues club went into liquidation in October and put on the market in November.
As of Friday, the sale of the club which includes pokies, dressing rooms, amenities and rugby field, was settled.
The details of the new owner and how much it sold have not yet been released but the information is expected soon.
It is not the first time the leagues club has been in financial trouble.
In 2005 the club was taking over by The Redcliffe District Rugby League Football Club which managed it until 2013 when it was handed back Northern Suburbs (Mackay) Rugby League Club.
The Norths Devils clubhouse also features several bars, gaming areas, a dining bistro and function rooms.
The 2.69-hectare property has a 150-metre frontage to Golflinks Rd and borders on Kerrisdale estate and retirement village.
The leagues club has long been home to one of Mackay’s rugby league teams, the Norths Devils, which recently dropped out of the local Mackay and District Rugby League competition; the teams are planning to re-enter the competition again next year.
The business and property was being sold via private treaty for $900,000 plus GST.
