YOUR SAY: As I drive to work past miles of farms I find some days that the cattle that should be enclosed by the fencing have managed to get on the road.
Regularly I see these cattle and I would like to inform the farmer that his cattle are on the road only I do not know the farmer’s name or phone number or where he lives.
I was thinking that as we have now moved to the age of the phone it would be good if farmers with fences on roads put up placards on the fence with their phone number on it. This may save the life of the cattle and perhaps the life of the driver also.
These placards only need a phone number and could be moved when the field is vacated for another. I can not imagine the cost would be astronomical but it may save the cost of a beast or two over the life of a sign.
