Big Project progressing | Gawler Bunyip – Australia News

BAROSSA Council’s ‘The Big Project’ is progressing, with a number of recreational facilities getting closer to receiving upgrades.

Council’s elected members were updated on the plan recently, hearing about the progress that has been made at the many
locations between May and July.

The Big Project is council’s Community Infrastructure Plan, and aims to pull together recreation, sport and culture plans and
fill in any gaps in community facilities.

Already, Tanunda Recreation Park’s masterplan has been completed, with the football and bowls clubs being engaged for briefings on the lights, clubrooms and a proposed second recreation space.

Additionally, Nuriootpa’s Centennial Park and Coulthard Reserve working group is developing a concept plan, and working
on launching a weekly park run event.

Elected members will be briefed on various funding applications for parts of the project, and more updates, during the fourth-quarter report period.
